   Conditional Health Guarantee   
Health, Hips, Eyes, EIC, and CNM 

     Your Black pearl Labrador Retriever is NOT guaranteed for temperament, size at adulthood, trainability, accidental death, accidental disability, accidental injury, or any health conditions not specifically covered by this guarantee.

    Your Black Pearl Labrador Retriever is guaranteed for ten (10) days from Pickup/Shipping date to be free of communicable disease leading to death before six (6) months of age upon presentation to us of a written diagnosis and certification of death from a licensed veterinarian.   

     Your Black Pearl Labrador Retriever’s hips are guaranteed to be certifiable as Fair, Good, or Excellent by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) between 24 months and 27 months of age. X-rays must be taken by a Board Certified Veterinarian between 24 months and 27 months of age. All paperwork must indicate the microchip identification number as verified by your veterinarian.

    Your Black Pearl Labrador Retriever’s eyes are guaranteed to be certifiably free and clear from any genetic, vision-damaging eye disease that prevents it from being certified by the Canine Eye Registration Foundation, Inc. (CERF) or by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) up to 24 months of age. Diagnosis must be made by a Board Certified Veterinary Ophthalmologist before 24 months of age, with the veterinarian certifying in writing that the damage is genetic and is not caused by injury or illness. All paperwork must indicate the microchip identification number as verified by your veterinarian.

    Your Black Pearl Labrador Retriever is guaranteed to be non-affected by EIC (Exercise-Induced Collapse). Testing for EIC must be performed before 6 months of age by the University of Minnesota Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (VDL). All paperwork must indicate the microchip identification number as verified by your veterinarian.
 
   Your Black Pearl Labrador Retriever is guaranteed to be non-affected by CNM (Centronuclear Myopathy). Testing for CNM must be performed before 6 months of age by the Alfort School of Veterinary Medicine (Alfort) and in accordance with their Permanent Identification Verification (PIV) procedures through your local veterinarian. All paperwork must indicate the microchip identification number as verified by your veterinarian.

  Any Black Pearl Labrador Retriever who falls under this guarantee and whose owner has followed the guidelines stated above and the provisions stated below will be replaced by a puppy of comparable breeding, same sex and color, and equal price at the discretion of  Black Pearl  Labrador Retrievers. The purchase price of the dog covered by this guarantee will apply toward the higher price of the replacement puppy should the buyer choose to receive a replacement puppy from a stronger breeding, and/or of different sex and/or color. The buyer must pay the difference. Neither a credit against future or additional puppy purchases, nor a refund of money will be given should the buyer choose to receive a replacement puppy from a lesser breeding, sex, and/or color than that of the dog covered under this guarantee.
    Dogs covered under this guarantee are by replacement only. This guarantee covers the purchase price of the puppy only. Any and all expenses incurred in diagnosis, treatment, through return of the guaranteed dog, or through replacement of the guaranteed dog are the sole responsibility of the purchaser.  

PROVISIONS •The dog must be x-rayed by a veterinarian using O.F.A. procedures and evaluated by O.F.A. between the age of 24 months and 27 months of age. The evaluation results of such x-rays must be reported to Black Pearl Labrador Retrievers within 14 days of the report date along with copies of the x-rays and OFA written report. OFA shall be the sole judge regarding hip dysplasia. •Eyes must be rejected for certification by CERF or OFA before 24 months of age. •The dog must not be used for breeding prior to rejection by OFA/CERF, and prior to receiving results from VDL for EIC and Alfort for CNM. If the dog has sired or whelped a litter, contrary to this provision the guarantee is void. •This guarantee is to the original purchaser and registered owner, and is non-transferable to new owners if the dog is sold.  
 
REPLACEMENT PUPPIES •If the affected dog is returned to Black Pearl Labrador Retrievers, you are entitled to a replacement puppy of equal value. •If the owner wishes to keep the dog, you are entitled to 50% of the value of the price paid at time of purchase for the affected dog to apply to the price of the replacement puppy when you are ready to bring a new puppy home. •In either case, the AKC registration papers for the covered dog must be signed back to Mark Neeley. •If you choose to keep the affected dog, you must submit a veterinarian letter stating that the dog has been spayed or neutered.  All freight charges and transportation expenses are to be paid by the owner for both the replacement dog and the dog being returned.
